Born in Albury Australia, I have always wanted nothing more than to be an artist. The realities of life meant most of my employed life was spent serving others via retail or administration jobs, but my passion laid with anything and everything art.
Now I have more time to pursue my passion for art, I don't limit myself to any type of medium or material to express myself through my creations and inspired visions. I like to primarily use acrylic paints, as painting and drawing are my 'thing'; but I have used watercolours, alcohol inks, graphite pencils, charcoal, various textiles and ephemeral items to create and explore my creativity. I do not limit myself to a genre or a specific topic, process or outcome. Mono-printing, painting, sewing, collage, drawing and whatever takes my fancy at the time, is what I use to produce a final piece.
-
Previously I was tutored by Charles Sluga in watercolour techniques.
-
Fine Art Courses Certificate I, Cert IV/diploma at TAFE NSW.
-
Life drawing and acrylic painting at the Albury Wodonga Artists Society and other creative courses at various locations throughout the years.
In my spare time; I watch all types of Art documentaries which feeds my knowledge and thirst for understanding and applying new creative ideas. I enjoy walking my little dog Ruby with my friends and getting out in nature.
My art is all about expressing my interpretation of objects, thoughts and ideas using various mediums and materials. I love giving my talent and love of colour to others via my creations, to bring joy and interest into their lives. I like to show people that there are many ways to interpret what they are looking at or thinking.
I'm currently working on a series of mono-prints which express in colour and form the enjoyment I find in Lounge jazz music.
